Ward beats anyone at 168 or 175. He'd smother Adonis' power and outwork him on the inside. Stevenson did show against Cloud he has more dimensions, but if you take away his power, he has no weapons that would trouble a fighter of Ward's caliber.

its hard to pick against ward,,, he clearly is a very very talented fighter,,

but stevenson would pose some threats,, he is the biggest puncher that ward has faced, and honestly ward hasnt faced any real ko punching power before,,, guys like froch and kessler and dawson are huge punchers,,, If stevenson were to land a flush shot, i wonder how ward would react

Ward looked physically weaker than a zombie version of Chad Dawson at 168 in the first round.

Ward's physicality wouldn't be as big at 175.

But still, Ward UD, OR, Stevenson KO 5.

I agree but a figther with Adonis' power is always dangerous. I'd like to see what Ward looks like @ 175.

Good post, that may be why ward never seems eager to go to 175,, he always talks about staying at 168,,,, I think you nailed it with ward's physicality not being that great at 175,,, and he uses alot of physicality to beat 168ers like the kessler fight, at 175 he wouldnt be able to do alot that he does at 168

You would have to think that ward is the favorite, but who knows how it would actually play out,,,

stevenson could be to ward-- what mayorga was to forrest, or pavlik to taylor,,,,,

tough call. i don't know exactly what stevenson has. he's got the power, but i'm not sure he can land it. i'm leaning towards his big punches down the middle missing.

if they weighed the same i'd pick ward much more quickly. stevenson was at 168 for a while, but he looks to be a much bigger man. he hits like a heavyweight.

stevenson is a good boxer. he's so much better than i thought he was. it was almost like he didn't start to fight like a steward fighter until manny had died. now he boxes like he fights out of kronk. very solid boxer with great power.

still, andre ward is an elite level boxer. what he lacks in punching power he makes up in boxing skills.

stevenson's not always looked this spectacular. some of his recent power punching exploits could be a product of some lucky matching. tavoris cloud is a tough guy, but he's small in reach and has very little boxing ability. his claim to fame in life will be a UD over an ancient glen johnson. he looks all done. dawson may very well be done too. pimp steven caught him fresh off of an ass whipping. and frankly, revisiting dawson's few fights pre ward, it's clear that he had started to slip. watch dawson in '08. that's the guy hopkins and calzaghe ducked.

interesting fight. shading ward to win on points, the way i always do. that kid can f#cking box.

                    Seriously don't know.

I saw something in that 1st round with Dawson that made Ward not look ready for 175.

And this isn't your usual case of the finesse boxer with ultimate defense going up against the big bad puncher. Ward is a crafty boxer that uses his physical strength to impose his will.

If you put a gun to my head, Ward UD.
