Gennady Golovkin is confident he will do a job on Curtis Stevens when he defends his WBA middleweight title on Saturday night.

The Kazakh is unbeaten in 27 fights and his fearsome power means he enters the contest against Stevens (25-3) in New York as a hot favourite.

And with Stevens also boasting a good knockout ratio fans are expecting fireworks - while it lasts.

Stevens is the same fighter he was when he fought - and got his ass kicked by - Jesse Brinkley. He proved that when he fought Findley, but luckily for Stevens, Findley wasn't good enough to capitalize and win.

This will be a blowout. Stevens is extremely limited. He's like an Andre Berto: power, seen as having "potential", but he gets exposed every time he steps up. Only for Stevens he only has to step up a tiny baby step and fight a guy like Brinkley to get his ass kicked.

Stevens talks a great game but once he feels a punch or two will go into hyper reverse and cover up like a clam shell. All defense until Gennady brings his hands down by going to the body. TKO before the end of Rd 7(Probably 5)

This is why stevens has a good chance of an upset. Golovkin is an all out offensive monster. His defense is underrated but when you are as offensive as he is you will get hit against a big puncher like stevens who is very dangerous in exchanges golovkin might very well find himself on the canvass.
