At the end of the day the excitement Tyson brought to the sport was something we all should be thankful for. Once in a generation sort of excitement.

I can't help but think how much potential he had and let it go to waste. He was amazing though while he was still focused on being the greatest heavyweight ever. I first started watching him in 1986 at age 13. He was my idol growing up, but as a kid you can't help idolizing someone like that. He will always be my favorite fighter in history. Its really great to see all the love he's getting now with all these shows they make on him. Noone talks about Holyfield or Lewis. It just goes to show how great he was during such a short time.

The greatest achievement to have ever been accomplished in the sport of Boxing IMO. Nothing will ever top this. Possibly the greatest accomplishment in the HISTORY of sports.

And of course , his out of ring lifestyle took him out of being the along the ATGs...same thing that happened with Pacquiao when he was on top but in a different way (politcis/********/womanizing/losingfocus/moneyhungry/etc./not training)

Ray Leonard holds the most extraordinary accomplishment in boxing history that will never be broken.

Do you know what that is?

Was it winning titles in two different weight divisions in the same fight?
