Adonis Stevenson was knocked out by clubfighter Boone and people said he did not belong in the ring with Dawson and we saw what happened there. It doesn't mean Stevens is going to win but history is littered with guys who lost to club fighters and went on to win titles in upsets.Comment

So he's from Bolivia? I thought the flag on his trunks was the Panama flag, I guess not.

True, but Dawson had already been exposed by the time he fought Stevenson. It began with Pascal. Despite Dawson having his moments in that fight, he got hurt a few times and lost on the scorecards after a head-butt cut his eye. Next was Hopkins. Although Dawson won the second fight (after the ridiculous body slam nc first), it was a split decision over a then 47 year old! Then he dropped down in weight and got stopped by Ward. Stevenson has power and talent, which has been honed of late in the Kronk gym by the late, great Emmanuel Stewart. As for Golovkin vs Stevens, Gennady Golovkin's riding high NOW. Curtis Stevens was a big prospect what, eight years ago? A has been that never was taking out a beast like Golovkin? Doubtful.Adonis Stevenson was knocked out by clubfighter Boone and people said he did not belong in the ring with Dawson and we saw what happened there. Stevens should be considered a very 'live' underdog -- he has legitimate KO punching power -- can't let GGG take the initiative at little cost -- Stevens can't go into a shell -- has to engage in exchanges and push the action at times to keep GGG off balance -- his best chance is to catch GGG in an exchange and then aggressively go after him -- of course that's a risky strategy because GGG is a great puncher but Stevens will have to take risks to pull off the upsetComment
