    Former four division world champion Erik "El Terrible" Morales has pushed back his ring return to 2014. Morales had been trying to set a fight for 2013, but instead he will fight either once or twice next year and then retire from the sport. Morales has not fought since October 2012, when he was knocked out in four rounds by WBA/WBC 140-pound champion Danny Garcia. In 2014, Morales turns 38, and 20 of those years been dedicated to professional boxing. Morales amassed a record of 52 wins, 36 of them by knockout, and nine defeats, and he captured world titles at super bantamweight, featherweight, super featherweight and junior welterweight.

          Morales has money, he invested well, and has had good endorsement's throughout his career. he just loves to fight, and wants to show he can still do it!!

          its hard to deal with father time when you did this your whole life!!

                  eh if its just one more and out I say why not, the problem is unlike Manny Pacquiao this guy only wants tough fights, its amazing how this old man lives for competition I wish the younger guys would have his mentality..

                  Theres a reason why the word Balls is always mentioned whenever we talk about Erik

                              i hate this. I love Morales too much to see him get hurt again. He was so fearless that his prime was early in his career. Those Barrera fights really did a number on him.

                              It's not money. He does well in the san diego-tijuana region. It's his love to punch.
