Majority of the fighters you listed fight in Mexico or America(Las Vegas, which is basically Mexico north). You really think Mares is some road warrior because he fights in the United States. He lives and trains here

TS has a interesting theory that I agree with

I'll take it one step further, if you grew up poor in a third world country than you'll most likely be a warrior in the ring

One prime example of this is Kovelev. Hes a freaking beast that wants to destroy you

Even a rooting crowd to me doesn't give a home fighter any type advantage in my opinion, since both fighters are dealing with the same noise. This isn't some WWE **** where a fighter is hulking up because his name is being chanted over and over.
Its not even that, most countries will favor their own, in terms of scoring or some bias against the visitor. This is usually due to the home fighter being the one with the push and power behind him

I can agree with that point. Was trying to keep poor judging out of it but certainly a valid point with the way scoring goes in boxing.

stay supporting fighters that only fight in their backyard. I'll take a roadwarrior like Pacquiao or Santa Cruz over your homecooking bums anyday

Santa Cruz basically fights in his backyard. I don't get your logic when you keep pointing to fighters that are California based and having all their fights in Cali or Vegas(a measly 4 hour car drive). Hell, when Andre Ward fought in AC, he traveled far great than Cruz, Mares, and many other Mexican/Mexican-American fighters have in years.

The cream always rises to the top. The best fighters will win no matter where they are fighting, minus any bs scoring of course.

                Yet Ward never leaves Oakland.

What you think away-from-home, traveling fighters are the truest warriors in the sport because they make the most sacrifices?
