NEW YORK — Abel Sanchez hopes Curtis Stevens provides a more formidable challenge against Gennady Golovkin than Matthew Macklin managed to offer four months ago.

Golovkin’s trainer doesn’t believe Stevens is capable of doing that, though. Sanchez expects the knockout artist from Kazakhstan to dismantle Stevens pretty easily Saturday night in The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

I think people would be a lot more excited if Golovkin were fighting a guy like Martin Murray this weekend or someone who everyone felt had a serious chance at beating Golovkin and it made the fight unpredictable. But it's difficult to get excited about a fight that everyone feels is one sided and all you can do is hope that Curtis Stevens took this like the opportunity of a lifetime and shows up better prepared then he's ever been and it turns out to be a great fight.

Abel Sanchez is one of the best and there's no doubt that GGG will walk through Stevens with NO problems. GGG even said in an interview that he is going to fight Stevens like a street fight for running his mouth. I actually pity Stevens.
