Former champion Antonio Margarito appeared on a Mexican radio station and was asked for his opinion on the next generation of Mexican superstars - Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Margarito continues to train to stay in shape, but he has no plans to get back into boxing. He says his left eye is still "not 100%" after the injuries suffered during the bad beating that he took at the hands of Manny Pacquiao in 2010.

Chavez is the son of a Mexican icon and Canelo was propped up by Mexican tv.

Made some pretty obvious but accurate observations. I have a lot of respect for Margarito, whatever controversy might or might have not happened, he still had the balls and heart of a champion.

I feel bad about his eye, still not healed? We'll he's speaking the truth about those two. They are Mexico's top PPV attractions. They beat out Marquez in PPV. Why don't people pay to see Marquez in Mexico? Is it his wierd thinned out spanish goatee and ceasar haircut, or the pee pee drinking?

Anyways if Canelo had the wrong gameplan boxing against a master boxer, or he read it upside-down. Wish he was more aggressive like Cotto or De La Hoya. Chavez Jr. needs to really be hungry (and not for the munchies snack afterwards) but for boxing. He has so much potential.

But wouldn't mind them fighting each other. I'd pay for that.
