    Cleverly set for return

The best sports coverage from around the world, covering: Football, Cricket, Golf, Rugby, WWE, Boxing, Tennis and much more.

Cleverly is set to return in November. Get this...at cruiserweight against a guy whose been at HW. Guy has a tiny ko % but if he loses that or faces a medium powered guy at a higher weight than LHW he's fucked.

i think they're going to look to fight enzo mac. cleverly will never amount to anything anyway.

when a guy is at his peak, and gets his biggest fight and gets destroyed like that, it's hard for him to come back. he'll probably milk the rest of his career and move onto something that doesn't involve being punched. he's got a degree, and still has his wits. he's probably made good money.

    welsh cleverly has peaked.

I liked cleverly but he's no cruiser and will not fair well at the weight.

Sometimes going up a class gives fighters a better chin, better punch resistance. It could be the case here, but I doubt it. Cleverly will be looking to add on at least 25lbs here, so who knows? I'll be watching this with a lot of interest

Cleverly is not a cruiserweight, it's as simple as that.

Poor move. Should have worked his way to another title shot in the LHW division against the likes of Hopkins or for the vacant WBA belt (it is vacant right?).

This decision is what will end careers.

Disappointed, but good luck to the guy.

He may get a title for Bhop or even Ward to move up and snag

              Clev has a good chin.

Kovalev for want of better words just fucked him up.

Cleverley is a world level Light-Heayweight. He's already proved that he is not likely to lose to British and European Level operators.

Him and Enzo Macc should both get a nice payday out of each other though. Has to be done.

All the top Cruisers hit like trains. No sense in that move long term.

Yeah he does. But for a guy who said he could make 168 for Froch - fighting 200 pound guys is hardly going to help him.

Cruiser always seems like a particularly dangerous division. It is low-key but a lot of those guys are naturally big, they aren't slow, and they punch hard.

I don't remember too if any champions of recent years in the division with unblemished records.
