Andre Ward:I have a new arsenal. I have a lot of power in both hands!+Drug Testing

“It’s a principled stance that I’m taking,” Ward said.
How so?
“Simple; we are not going to do things on your terms. He needs to understand that he is the challenger.”
Same stance Pacquiao took against Floyd, not wanting to be dictated to.
Ward is being an idiot here, he ain't a foreigner so he can't play the role of idiot and hit us with that broken english. Ward is articulate, intelligent and he will get eaten up if he isn't careful here. He vocally advocated for drug testing in the sport and said he would even take it further than Floyd.Last edited by Doctor_Tenma; 10-30-2013, 10:32 AM.Comment

It's not just a publicity stunt, because Rodriguez is doing the testing regardless and is signed up for the year-round random testing deal. Clearly, he cares and is willing to do it whether his opponent is or not.
And it is Ward's obligation to do testing when he runs off at the mouth about having no problem with testing, and went so far during the Super Six as to say he wants to lead the way in implementing Olympic style drug testing. You can't say stuff like that, do absolutely no blood testing in the time since, and not look like an awful liar.

The truth is the truth and the truth hurts.
It especially hurts since Ward is my co-favorite fighter, along with Carl Froch. Ward saying what he said and not acting on it at all is a terrible look. There's no excuse.Comment

Ward is a thinking man. A man of intelligence. He says a lot of Sound things and does a lot of Sound things.
But on the PED issue he is so wrong. How can a man of his intellect refuse to take the test. it might have been a PR stunt from Rodriguez, but Ward lost the PR war big time. He looks as guilty as one can look without getting caught redhanded.

Was it a publicity stunt? Hell yea, yet Ward is the one that has come out looking really bad. He has been advocating Drug testing for like 4 years, yet in that amount of time, not only has he never subjected himself to it voluntarily, but he has also avoided it when asked by opponents. Rodriguez has offered to pay for it, yet he has refused it? Why refuse it if you're an "advocate" of it. Edwin has called his bluff, plain and simple.
Ward also stated that he probably would have agreed if Edwin had demanded it in negotiations. Then he says he'll probably start with his next fight? Why not with this fight? Everything about this is very su****iousComment
