Why is he a coward? He's had back to back tough fights and if it was up to him he would be fighting Cotto or Martinez next, he would be the underdog in the Martinez fight, so how is he a coward?

Canelo has not done anything to desrve a ppv date. Losing badly to Mayweather does not a ppv star makes.He has only fought 1 top ten guy in Trout and won a controversial decision.Other than that he has fought Tijuana cab drivers and guys collecting social security. The minute he fights any top ten guy he is toast. That's why he wants to cash out with a big name before he gets exposed again.

There are different ways to be punished. Yes he didn't get physically pummeled but a lost effects people differently, especially how he lost. For all we know he could be depressed and not as confident in his own skills anymore. We saw it happen to Pavlik and Hatton just to name a couple
