Alexander vs Porter is capable of being a classical fight. 2 great athletes that can box.

I like guys like Pac and Rios for a number of reasons but I wish the Macau PPV would fail miserably because the undercard is BS!! It wont fail because of Pac and the Gimmick former Olympian but I sure wish Arum had to pay dearly for a SHT undercard!

Wonder why tho, am i the only one that thinks broner/maidana does better numbers than bradley/marquez?
You Probably are ,Maidana ain't drawing no ppv sales and broner isn't that well know among casuals. Wonder why anyone would rather pay for this fight than watch it for free. Hopefully it's a great fight, a very strong card.

You known when fighters or managers price themselves too high, is when they don't want to fight>>>> He talk that he will send Angulo to retirement, BLABLA...

PPV is not always reserved for stars. A lotta time, a card goes to PPV because the network isn't willing to put up the money that the fighters are asking for. So they give a smaller guarantee and basically make the fighters earn the rest in PPV sales. JMM and Bradley are a prime example. Neither is a big enough draw to be on PPV. But its a fight that Arum wanted and the network liked. But for a fight of that magnitude, they fighters likely were asking for more money than Showtime was willing to guarantee. For Broner-Maidana, anything north of probably 200-250k buys would have been a success. But I'm pretty sure with the beefed up undercard, Showtime likely became willing to shell out a lil more dough. Some of when probably raised AB's guarantee.

Alexander will never be remotely enjoyable to watch. I wish he'd quit boxing.

You're wrong there. In the urban community, Broner is just as, if not more popular as Floyd was before DLH. A better comparison would be Judah at his peak. Judah was, and still is a star in the black community. And because of social media and youtube, AB is probably more popular than Floyd and Judah were in the black community. I suspect that has a lo to do with Judah being floated around as AB's next opponent should he beat Paulie. AB-Judah would do very similar numbers that Floyd-Judah did.
