In todays boxing winning 5 divisions is not an impossible task back in the day the had only one champ than 2 than 3 and today it's 4 Champion per weight class. At 130 Floyd went after the weakest link at 135 he got his azz beat but was gifted a belt at 140 he ignored Kosta at 147 he ignored Margarito and went for Baldimar and at 154 he beat a wash up part time promoter/fighter. Than when he fights a young 23year old kid he ask for a catch weight to weaken him

While i agree with you that there is way too many "champions" in todays world.
But i think you miss the boat on alot of your post..

at 130- floyd beat everyone,, genaro was a great fighter, manfredy was a solid contender of that era, corrales was another great win, chavez and famoso would both go on to be champs,, I think floyd's 130 resume is fantastic,,,

at 135 JLC was not the weakest link,, JLC was the lineal champ, and has beaten corrales, diaz, casamoyer, johnston,,, JLC was a legit champ and was a really good fighter

at 140,, yes floyd's resume is really weak,, he was gonna fight tsyzu after the gatti fight, but hatton spoiled those plans,,,

at 147- floyd beat zab and baldomir, the former lineal champ and the current lineal champ,,, i dont know how you can complain when a guy fights the lineal champ,,

at 154- oscar and canelo were both considered the top guy at that weight,, Oscar was in a pretty weak division at the time, but was still the #1 guy there, Canelo solidified his position at 154 by beating trout,,,

being lineal at 130,135,147,154 is an incredible feat,,, Yes floyd has cherrypicked at times, but he still is a 4 division lineal champ,,, that is a very rare feat
