  • Comments Thread For: Smith Tabs Quillin To Knock Rosado Out Within Six

The middleweight class is certainly one of the more lively in boxing at present.

WBC king Sergio Martinez from Argentina is a cert for the Hall of Fame whilst WBA counterpart Gennady Golovkin from Kazakhstan seems to be destined for a berth alongside him. IBF champion Darren Barker from Barnet invokes a bit of British interest.

But WBO czar Peter Quillin is also starting to make head way along the railings and he'll certainly be looking to sizzle before the world's fight media when he makes a second defence of his title against Philadelphia's Gabriel Rosado at the Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City tomorrow evening.

Watch the action unfurl - plus Bernard Hopkins' IBF World Light-Heavyweight title defence against Karo Murat and monster hitting US heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder - live and exclusive in the UK on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 437/****** Ch. 546) as part of a double header also featuring German legend Arthur Abraham, from 7pm Saturday night. Rosado's career is quickly going down the drain. Sure he puts up valiant efforts that give him clout in the eyes of fans, but they don't do him any favors in the rankings, and much more so in terms of damage accumulated. He should have fought Bundrage when he still had his belt. Honestly I have to agree with Paul Smith, all signs point to an easy night for Quillin. Rosado will give it his all but this fight will be stopped just like the GGG one.

Actually Rosado was his first choice because Rosado was pissed during the summer at the money they offered him to fight Chocolate on Monday Night Fights for a September fight

Rosado had to lose 5.5 pounds a few hours before the weigh in.

All the GGG fanboys point to Rosado as a good win for Golovkin. So if Quillin manages to beat him impressively then I expect to see everyone giving him full credit for it.
