It seems like just yesterday!

I miss his one liners, "...and he didn't do anything wrong, this kind of stuff just happens in boxing..." "OH MY GAWWDD!!"

For a guy that accomplished as much as he did in his life, he appeared to be really down to earth. I always got the impression from listening to him speak on tv that if one were to find oneself seated next to him on a train or something, even though he was a legit bigshot and oneself just Joe Schmoe the boxing fan, you could have a really fun conversation over a beer or two. And him not just lecturing as bigshots tend to do, but with him actually interested in how you freaked out during Ward vs Gatti or whatever.

Just seemed like a really good dude.

I do not know a whole lot about Emmanuel, but you can feel the impact he has had on the sport and a lot of people around it. May he rest in peace!
