Ortiz quitting against Maidana was the worst of them all, by far. I try to give Alexander the benefit of the doubt for the Bradley fight, maybe his eye was messed up, but either way it was a bad look for him.
Alvarado and Vitali are the most understandable. Alvarado was done, he had no chance and was only going to get pounded on and brutally stopped. Vitali's shoulder was messed up.Comment

I wanted to say Ortiz, but the Alexander one was just pathetic... I mean, at least Maidana is a big puncher
Alexander even told on himself after the fight when he said "I thought I was ahead..."
Alexander knew he couldn't go another 2 1/2 rounds cause the fight was "close" in his mind, and if it continued the way it was going in the 10th, Bradley would have pulled away...

ortiz against maidana was the worst imo. while he took some big shots they were single punches, it wasnt like he had been beat down over the course of a long fight. he was hurt but could have recovered and come back strong. he was very much in the fight too, one punch could have put maidana out at any time. not like alvarado who had no chance of winning at that stage.
ortiz quit against floyd too imo, he knew he was in for a long beating so he found a way out of it. come to think of it thats probably the worst i ever seen, he hadnt been touched up too much and he made a complete ass of himself in the process. but he knew he couldnt just walk away like he did against maidana, so he tried to get himslef DQed instead and when that didnt work he played ****** and let himself get dropped rather than get beat up all night.
vitali was bad too. yes, he was inured. but if floyd can go 12 hard rounds with castillo with that same injury i think vitali could have simply remained on his feet for a few more rounds in a fight he was winning easily. obviosuly vitali is the smae caliber of fighter as mayweather, but he also didnt have the same quality of opposition in front of him.
alexander never really quit to me, i dont think he fully intended too. i think he was trying to get points taken away from bradley and the ref stopped it instead, even if it had been stopped i think devon expected bradley to get DQed. i dont think he accepted defeat, which for me is the main negative about quitting. not saying its all good, just saying as far as quitting goes its relatively understandable.
i havent seen guzman vs khabib but i wouldnt be surprised if that was bad given the complete lack of character in guzman.Last edited by #1Assassin; 10-25-2013, 07:19 AM.Comment

WTF? Why no Angulo? His quit job was on the same scale as Ortiz's vs Maidana. And not to mention he quit vs Lara, who these people call overrated.
