NEW YORK, NY - (L-R) Former New York Knicks basketball player Willis Reed; Hank Ratner, president and CEO of The Madison Square Garden Company; Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo; Jim Dolan, president and CEO of Cablevision Systems Corporation and executive chairman of The Madison Square Garden Company; and former New York Rangers hockey player Mark Messier cut a ribbon at a press conference announcing the completion of three-year, $1 Billion dollar face lift to Madison Square Garden on October 24, 2013 in New York City. Madison Square Garden is home to the NBA's New York Knicks and the NHL's New York Rangers, and also hosts events ranging from live music shows, political events and professional boxing matches. The Garden also faces new challenges in the live entertainment business from the recently opened Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, NY.

I really miss the pre-renovation MSG layout. Whenever WWE came to town, they'd set up the old school entrance like this...

Yeah, I don't understand that deal. They spent $1 billion on renovations and they are only signed to a 10-year lease?
