He had slightly more lean mass and lower BF%, that's it.
He started doing proper weight lifting and conditioning instead of his old rock throwing routine, it's really that simmple. A proper trainer got him doing better forms of training and eating properly, those same results can be achieved by anyone who puts in hard work and has discipline.Comment

I thought he looked incredibly different the weeks leading up to Pac-4. I remember watching one of his sparring vids where he knocks his sparring partner out. I remember thinking, Marquez has never done that in sparring with 16+ oz gloves, Winning headgear and gloves.
Then, we see uncharacteristic concussive-like power multiple times in the 4th Pac fight.
Marquez has never been a one-punch knock-out/down artist, and all of a sudden he can floor Pac twice in one fight?
Lets not forget Marquez's first endeavor in the welterweight area. He was fat, flabby, off-balance, and uncoordinated. Now, all of a sudden his body is as chizzled as a Greek god at the age of 39?
Hes been a pro for 20 years now, and has had an incredibly extensive career. But all his fights were generally identical, but we've never seen a Marquez like in the fourth Pac fight?
This is all speculation, and us fans/critics/enthusiasts have ever right to do so.Comment
