Comments Thread For: Chisora vs. Wach Clash is Not Likely To Happen

As it stands right now, Polish giant Mariusz Wach (27-1, 15 KOs) is not going to be the opponent for European heavyweight champion Derecki Chisora (18-4, 12 KOs) on November 30 in London. Based on the rules of the EBU, Wach would not get approved as a sanctioned opponent because the boxer has been inactive for nearly year and suffered a bruising defeat in his last outing, a twelve round decision loss to Wladimir Klitschko in November 2012. Aftwards Wach tested positive for anabolic steroids.

TBH Wach makes less sense for Chisora than Price or Pulev.

Chisora vs Price with British, EBU & Commonwealth titles on the line looks to be a natural.

You dont know much about boxing firstly price will be rebuilding with a new trainer so he wont be in a competitive fight for quite some time until he has adapted how booth wants him to fight. secondly chisora doesnt want to fight price because he has lost his last two fights he has said maybe that fight next summer time in a big stadium, boxings all about money and price doesnt bring chisora enough for the risk at this stage. It will be a voluntary defense against a handpicked opponent.

As much as I'd like to see Chisora vs Price or Pulev, those fights just aren't gonna happen right now.Wach won't be allowed to fight by the EBU.Chisora needs to stay active, whether its a live opponent or not people need to acknowledge that.

id like to see Chisora rematch Scott after Del complained about the injustices of his Helenius fight,if he's a man of integrity it is only right he faces Scott,Del Boy was well behind on the cards before the knock down,on my card anyway.

Szpilka and Glazkov have shown a willingness to face Chisora also.he has options without having to fight a complete unknown.

Chisora never really complained about that, the fans did. Fwiw Chisora was even on my card going into that round v Scott.

I don't know why he has to defend the EBU title so soon, he's only just won the title. Personally I'd like to see him fight Tony Thompson, Chris Arreola, Deontay Wilder or Manuel Charr.

Yeah, Chisora is the kind of guy that just gets on with it after a defeat, gives props to his opponent and moves on, which is good to see.

To be fair, his style means he's a good match up against almost any half-decent heavyweight. It's only been the stiffs that Chisora has failed to entertain against. (I'm excusing his fat pie Fury performance.)

I'm glad that cheater Wach didn't get this payday.

Chisora should fight Thompson. That would be a fine matchup.

Chisora seems to want to stay active and the EBU seems to be demanding that he fights soon as well. I don't know why it's taking so long to book an opponent.
