I honestly think Adrien Broner will become more disciplined and determined after he beats Maidana. He's been partying and doing the whole rap thing with his group Bandcamp touring with Lil Wayne and Drake. Can't pretend like he hasn't put on a little bit of weight. I remember even Floyd called him out on it on All Access, but I think after he beats Maidana he's going to become more determined. Why? because the PPV numbers will be dominant and he'll know he has to dedicate himself if he wants to become the first ever boxer to generate a billion dollars in revenue, all while remaining undefeated and fighting on PPV again and again. Like Floyd, will establish himself as a villain and generate tons of interest in his fights with people wanting him to lose.

Even a half dedicated Broner was able to jump up 2 weight classes to beat a WW champ a fully dedicated Broner will do amazing things.

I agree with the the thread starter. This is because if he does, he will get the big money he has always wanted. He has an incentive and he will take Maidana seriously. He did not take paulie seriously at all. Broner won't trade but he will catch Maidana. This fight will look very similar to his fight with Demarco.

Fully aware of his skills. But I think people underestimate Maidana, if he's working off of the jab, and in good shape.

I agree with you but the Malignaggi fight should be that fight, the learning experience. it was a SD and of course he's already had some other disputed decisions too. now he should be coming into the Maidana fight very dedicated and in shape. I know many think that marcos is just there to make him look good but still it's not easy to beat him, Broner has to be in shape for this fight, and the next, and the next

If I were Maidana's trainer, it would be obvious that Broner will try to win in close with his defensive skills and kill the body.

Answer would be to open up from range. The jab makes that possible. If after his ranged salvo he can throw in a body shot or three before stepping away, that would be good too.

Some questions will be answered about Maidana's "weakness to the body" in the fight, no doubt, but he's a go out on your shield type of guy. A true warrior. Broner? We just don't know.
