Fair play on the Rigondeaux mention but he wasn't hyped before.
I think GGG is talented just the hype is so premature.
If Rigo was this hyped previous to his fight with Donaire I'd of said the same.

I don't dislike GGG, I dislike the hype and this aura around him.

I think hes solid with very good power I feel has a lot to do with his opposition. I can't help but watch and not be overly impressed when these guys are cowering & they haven't even felt his power.
That's because Rigo is ultra defensive while Golovkin is just the opposite.

I do understand why you don't like the aure around him tough, I had the same thing with all that "Lucas kills Danny in 2 rounds" BS.

But I do believe that GGG is worth of all the hype. In most cases, it all starts in amateurs, Golovkin was a great amateur, you didn't get that record and all these medals by the accident.

Nahh dude, you obviously forgot about "Why I think Peterson beats Matthysse" thread created a couple days before the fight.

Well he has been saying Stevens will win but I'm putting my money on Stevens is going to be a bum if he loses to Golovkin. Book it.

Hes not even #1 in his division and already being compared to ATG middleweights who ruled through tough eras for a decade. It makes me sick!

I hope Stevens lays him out just to kill the noise. I've never seen a guy get so much praise for doing jack **** in all my life.
More fighters have ducked Golovkin in one year than all the ones who ducked Hagler throughout his career. Get some medicine.

I'm taking Stevens, it seems like an idiotic pick and it probably is but here's why.

I think this fight is a classic example where styles make fights. GGG is playing the role of "in-fighter" and Stevens is the "brawler". so according to the old rock paper scissor match up Brawler beats in-fighter.

to me this fight is looking like a poor mans version of Foreman vs Frazier

even Abel Sanchez compares Stevens to a young George Foreman

In an earlier article on BoxingScene.com - Sampson Lewkowicz, the adviser to WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez, stated that IBO/WBA champ Gennady Golovk

I think it's a dangerous fight for Golovkin. it's going to be a war and it's all about how GGG responds.

It's definitely a dangerous fight for Golovkin. Stevens has legit power at 160. He can punch.

Guaranteed KO fight. The way to make a ton of money would be to bet that it goes the distance because the odds are so slim of that - that if it happened, it would be a shocker.

Hahaha. You mean like how Lucas was gonna kill Danny in 2? The same Lucas that lost to zab and beat up josesito Lopez leftovers in mike Dallas? Ggg hype on nsb is nowhere close to Lucas' which was 100x more obnoxious

They both have power but the main difference will be Steven's chin. Once he feels GGG power and comes to the realization that he is facing the real deal, he will go defensive forget about his gameplan and get KTFO shortly thereafter..

Impossible to prove.. but if you know anything about Hagler's career(Which I doubt you do)... more fighters ducked Hagler than GGG... No comparison.. but once again that's impossible to prove because anybody can say anything..

What should be obvious is this:

                      Hagler will murder GGG.

Actually ..............There is a very long list of Hagler's victims that can literally KO every single opponent GGG have fought....

                      Very long list.
