Comments Thread For: Mark Heffron Returns on November 22 in Manchester

After announcing the welcome return of exciting lightweight, John Murray, to his “Hot Shots” event in Manchester on November 22nd, Dave Coldwell added further local interest today when he confirmed that hard-hitting middleweight prospect, Mark Heffron, would participate in his eighth professional contest on the bill.

Heffron, who had a dominant win last Friday against Julio Acosta in Spain, will be aiming to boost his perfect ledger which has so far saw the Oldham ****er obtain six stoppages from his seven fights. His fearsome punching reputation is highly regarded in boxing circles and Coldwell is hoping that the well travelled 21 year old will produce more explosiveness when he performs next month. Good stuff. I remember seeing Ronnie live on his pro debut - first fight of the night on the Khan-Salita undercard. Had a small (but loud!) local crowd cheering him on. Great fun to watch, but apparently he got stopped in one of his last fights and lost his "0".

...and I believe someone on here once called the Heffron family "complete scrotes".

Mark Heffron seems to have been heavily avoided.... which has lead to lengthy spell of inactivity (shame that). I remember he was supposed to be in the Irish middleweight prizefighter but pulled out due to injury. He's still very untested but I think he will have the minerals to compete at higher levels..... just like Ronnie does.
