I think the P.I. vs. Mex rivalry is heating up quite a bit. Whe you start seeing Filipino boxers on Mexican television stations and they are winning in front of Mexicans, the rivalry can only heat up. I think executives are seeing $$$ signs. There is even talk of DLH setting up a night of just Pinoys vs. Mexicans. Someone just found out that the Filipinos have a sizable market, hence more American promoters looking for Pinoys to showcase their talent here in the U.S. and if it is againts a Mexican it seems like the media, specially the Philippine Media, eats it up more.

When that Mexican fighter went to the P.I. to fight boom boom, he got nothing but love. I think it was the same when Pacquiao went to Mexico to promote the fight. It is only in the U.S. that the fans get kinda disrespectful. When I watched that Mayol fight I was scared for the guy when he started to show off by taunting Trejo and waving those giant flags around the ring when he won. I actually heard the crowd applauding Mayol. Hopefully the rivalry remains civilized and nobody gets hurt. In the rematch of Morales and Pac I heard there were some scraps after the fight and it was just as much Pinoy as Mexicans who were taunting.

I will have to agree, U.S. and Europe have the most hateful fans in the world.

But Europe takes it to the next level when it comes to soccer. I saw this documentary when soccer fans throw banana peels and do monkey chants whenever a black player gets the ball. And some fans even have the **** flags on, and what's astonishing is that it still exists now.

this "mexican/pinoy rivalry" only stretches from feather to super feather
                not even
it only reaches from pac to em to mab to jmm
                thats it
mexican vs PR is a genuine rivalry
u can pic most any weight class and have a good mexican pr match up
                sry
but the pinoys have a long way to go before they can go to war with mexicans in boxing
                theyve taken their 1st step
                "conquered" a weight class
but boxing is more then just featherweight

Its the quiet people you gotta worry about lol. I went to both Marquez and Morales I and it was very civilized. I heard with Morales /Pac 2 it was rowdier. I heard they were already getting rowdy in the press con and after the fight, my friend went, he said there were some dudes who were getting into it. Don't know what the diffence was except the crowd was more 50/50 this time around. Hope it does not get worse though because I enjoy not having to watch my back in a live fight.
