The first day of the third stage of 2013 WC amateur championship was a great present for all upset hunters, as four highly regarded boxers were eliminated from the competition. Several other minor upsets also heated the atmosphere in a former Kazakh capital up.
Hero of the day is Russian middleweight Artem Chebotarev, who earned a convincing decision over #1-ated favorite Esquivia Florentino Falcao. The Brazailian star was unlucky to get his gold medal at 2012 Olympics, loosing controversially to Japanese Ryota Murata. This time there was no place for controversy, as Chebotarev easily walked through the Brazilian. Artem wasn’t very successful in the recent major competitions but this tournament can very well be his stellar hour.
