The first day of the third stage of 2013 WC amateur championship was a great present for all upset hunters, as four highly regarded boxers were eliminated from the competition. Several other minor upsets also heated the atmosphere in a former Kazakh capital up.

Hero of the day is Russian middleweight Artem Chebotarev, who earned a convincing decision over #1-ated favorite Esquivia Florentino Falcao. The Brazailian star was unlucky to get his gold medal at 2012 Olympics, loosing controversially to Japanese Ryota Murata.
