Wlad Addresses Haters: "Boxing is an Art"

I am a big Wlad fan, mostly because I think he represents the sport as Heavyweight champion well - dominant, amazing punching power, good skills, respectful of all the previous HW champions, charismatic.
But that was a disgraceful performance. There was nothing artful about that. And I hated it for the same reasons as above - because he didn't represent the sport and his status as the Heavyweight Champion well. Povetkin's footspeed and willing to get in and not just be a sitting duck (in the first few rounds) spooked Wlad and so he retreated to all his very worst habits.
That's not boxing to me. Jumping into clinches is not boxing to me.
At least he's showing some willingness to be better next time.Comment

tito fought 4 times after the hopkins fight, and knocked out 2 of those opponents. one of those was a much bigger, (while just as shot as tito) roy. stop embarrassing yourself. tito is what margarito wishes he was son.Comment

Boxing is an art, and I love watching the truly skilled paint upon their canvas.
What Wlad does is more attune to a guy randomly splashing paint on a car. It shouldn't even be called boxing. He breaks the rules of boxing, and never gets called out for it.Comment
