Sure about that???? He has been in and out of jail, and one of those times I heard it was for stabbing a guy in an argument and who is to say Mike won't do worse things than Pavlik?

Feel real bad for Alvarado. He beat Rios and instead of getting a career payday (more then Ruslan fight) he lost his belt and took a beating in front of his hometown. Ugh

sooooo...Alvarado blew off 3 meetings to make a PAC fight?

then there's the 'he had a hurt hand' excuse

not sure i really believe someone would 'blow off' a chance to make millions of dollars...no matter how '****ed up' things are at home

Not listening to no 3 hour mess...got ***** to do nahmean?

The reason he screwed up the Pac fight is the same reason he screwed up the Malignaggi and Juan Diaz fight----the guy likes to smoke crack and thats a fact. Go talk to some people that actually know him.

That crowd was excellent and exactly what boxing needs. I was really suprised at the turnout and they really got behind their boy.

Funny thought about Provodnikov though... Wasn't his fight with Bradley in Timmys hoometown too? If so, it would be pretty awesome if he just becomes like the ultimate road warrior and starts defending/fighting for belts in peoples hometown... Hardcore fans would show up because they know it'll be exciting and casuals would come to support their hometown fighter lol

it was in Carson...a few hours from Palm Springs but close enough to be considered his backyard...and yea, that would be pretty cool if he just went into hometowns and fought...goes to Philly and fights Garcia, goes to Argentina and fights Lucas

Mexico to fight Marquez lol. I can really see Ruslan becoming very popular. He's on the big stage now and hardcore fans appreciate his style/toughness but going into Cali and Denver and other fighters backyards is going to get him a lot of casual fans too.

He's no P4P but I think his popularity will skyrocket with a belt now and fighting guys like Rios or possibly Pac/JMM, etc

yea...let's not kid ourselves and pretend we have an ATG on our hands but as HBO likes to say, we DO have a new 'action fighter' to watch...as long as he's put in there with dudes that dont hold, every fight should be fun
