That is a very unprofessional statement. This might come back to bite them one way or another. Emotions should not get in the way of sound business decisions.

They're hoping the loyalty will pay off in the long run. HBO uses him whether he wins or loses as opposed to Showtime maybe discarding him if he loses and HBO not willing to sign him up again for leaving

Would like to see him fight some GBP fighters but HBO gave him the chance of his life. It's not like the current SHowtime management is known for continuously working with out-of-house fighters who beat one of their own.

Look what they did to Pirog.

It'd be unprofessional to bite the hand that feeds you, which in the current climate means crossing over to the other network. Not to mention it would be wicked ****** in this case especially

Showtime/GBP throw their fighters under the bus. "Lara is hard to sell." -- Schaefer

All they worship is boring Money Mayweather.

No need to go there. Even the people with any sort of class over at HBO must quietly disapprove of such statements. Never take sides. It's a long winding road.

No, to be professional is to be leave the options open. Instead of saying "no chance", you can say "you are willing to work with everyone, but at the mean time your contract is with HBO". You can't just write off options, because no one knows what the future holds.

That's just bad for business and bad for Provodnikov's future.
