Fanboy nationalism is natural and will never go away

Debate whether it is right or wrong all you want, but fanboys who support their nations fighter no matter what are simply reflecting human nature...

It's pure tribalism, and you can criticize it all you want but it's ingrained within our very DNA.

The sport of boxing is like a simulation of battle...as a matter of fact most sports are, a test of fitness....a reflection of survival of the fittest...

Fighters are a microcosm of armies going to battle against rival tribes.... people need to understand this sheit.

    People should support their countrymen.

Yup. Nothing wrong with it and I think it's awesome, people are just too sensitive these days

Yeah, they are not playing for teams so fans have to find some way to identify with fighters and they do by country of origin or ethnic background, its the way boxing has always been probably always will be.

nationalism is a great thing, but not to the point of ******ity. Some recent examples: Brits swearing up and down that Amir Khan has never legitimately been beaten, R Hatton would have beaten Floyd if the referee would have let him hold repeatedly, and Froch should be rated higher than Ward despite Ward easily defeating him H2H. After JMM put Pac to sleep, the Pinoys swear it's an obvious sign of PEDs on JMMs part. Before the Martinez fight, Mexicans were calling Chavez Jr the next Hagler and that Canelo was gonna be unbeaten and dominate for years to come.

Like I said, it's a great thing to cheer for your heros, but keep your feet on the ground

Most of those have nothing to do with nationalism, they're boxing arguments. You're trying to pin them on that because you disagree with them (throwing a couple of ott ones in for effect).

believe it or not, not everyone can afford to pick up their things and leave their friends and family behind to go off somewhere nicer.

Don't care if the fighter is from mars. If I like him I'll root for him.

and these absolute bu11shyt arguments are made out of nationalistic pride and nothing else.
