Alvarado gave everything, no shame in that. I wouldn't call him a quitter at all. It was the only sensible thing to do. Boxers have short careers, a brutal KO or career threatening injury would have been the outcome if he'd carried on. He did the sensible thing.

When you look at Alvarado's win over Prescott, and the condition Prescott was in when he stopped him... There is just no comparison, since Ruslan was coming on harder when he saw blood. It was a good stoppage. I am surprised Weeks (or his corner) did not stop it after the second knockdown. Alvarado took 2-3 enormous body shots in round 10
