i do think he paced himself vs alvarado, but also when alvarado gets in your face in that low stance with his hands up it makes it awkward to throw, esspecially against guys that dont like to tae a step back, it freezes them, it also left rios standing there looking confused
i think an improvement ruslan could make is invest in body punching more, watching this fight, very early on i kept thinking he should go to the body, he punches very hard, and the body of alvarado is open when he does the space invading move, alavarado would have been stopped alot sooner if ruslan wasn't such a head-hunter, although he did start finally throwing more body shots near the end after realizing he was hurting mike with themComment
