If I'm Crawford's promoter, I try to avoid this fight. I don't question Crawford's skills, he has the skills to beat him and he's an excellent boxer. The problem is how is he going to deal with the pressure and taking a punch from him? Provodnikov is a massive puncher at 140, every punch he hit Alvarado with it hurt him. As the fight went on Alvarado eventually broke down. You really have to stay focused for the full 12 rounds against him, cause one slip up and you're ****ed.

If Crawfords people and him himself have the confidence in his ability and wanna take a step up and wanna get that name in the mix ,
This is the time and the fight to do it.

Ok but Crawford is a natural 135 lber. THe only guy he faced at 140 was Prescott, and Prescott is nothing like Provodnikov. Preescott is more boxer-puncher. Provodnikov is a relentless pressure fighter.

Crawford won't be able to hurt Provodnikov and he'll get hunted down until he eventually runs out of gas.

It would be a terrible fight to make for him. He needs to get more acclimated to the division.
