AIBA world championship is in full throttle mode. Tonight the last division, which had been left out of contention in previous days, kicked off its competition. Super heavyweights, the least numbered but the most popular weight class, started with some stoppages and some upsets. The most surprising was a stoppage loss of #3 rated Joseph Joyce from the UK, who was completely dominated by little-known Algerian Hamza Beguerni and halted within 90 seconds. Usual favorites Magomed Omarov of Russia, Filip Hrgovic of Croatia, Yohandi Ortega of Cuba and two-time world champion and 2008 Olympic gold medalist Roberto Cammarelle all looked ordinary against smaller opponent, although the #4 rated Italian confused talented Tony Yoka with flying colours.
