Both these guys had everything to lose....they kinda ducked each other.

Had they fought and it turned out to be a great fight, a rematch would've happened. Nobody lost out on anything even now. They can still fight. Pac lost a bit of respect the minute Marquez ko'd his ass.

Pac is beloved so people won't look at it like it's that bad a career drop. Now he has no choice but to take less, and now he's older. Yes Floyd is older, but he is probably better preserved. Still Pac has a chance if he beats Rios to make a fight with Floyd, beat Floyd and become a legend.

I don't think Floyd will regret not fighting Pac, but I do think he will be annoyed by the constant questioning on why he never fought Pac.

It is doubtful when you consider how different a direction their respective careers have gone since the first negotiations. Floyd understands as good as anyone how the politics of boxing work.
