    The 140 lb. division is nothing but...

    minor leagues in prep for the welterweight division. I've always thought this. I guess since all roads really do lead to Floyd and Manny. I truly think there's also no such thing as a true 140 pounder unless your name is Ricky Hatton. Seems like nowadays that division is a stepping stone to welterweight, no? If anything in a distant future, Mikey Garcia will be king of 140 at the rate he's going... but that 147 is quite tempting for him or anyone to pass up. Just my take..

    Yeah it's been that way for years. The 140 lb division has a ton of talented fighters but inevitably the financial incentives offered by welterweight keeps pulling guys up.
