Stevenson was approximately 20, grew up in a bad neighborhood and had no proper parenting during his childhood. And to correct some of you, he was never found guilty of ****, sexual assault or aggravated assault. Nothing glorifying but he paid his due, got his life together, won a silver medal for his country at the 2004 Commonwealth Games, turned pro and has not been arrested again. He lives with his girlfriend of multiple years and their two beautiful young daughters. And from what I hear, he has been making al the right moves in his life since.

I have a bigger problem with Mayweather who admitted punching ex-girlfriend therefore found guilty of domestic violence and was sent to jail for three months all this at the very mature age of 34 while living a jet set lifestyle. And yet he's welcomed on national TV shows like a hero.

I can't ever root for Stevenson, given his past but would at least have a touch more respect if he would make a public apology and perhaps a donation of the earnings from a fight to an appropriate victims' charity. Somebody suggested that his victims might wish they were in touch with him now....I seriously doubt this, but I'm betting they wish they didn't have to see his face in the Canadian sports pages or on TV feted as a star.

That said, I can appreciate his abilities as a boxer without liking or supporting him (in much the same way as I do with FMJ), and his achievements this year have been impressive - though Kovalevs still the better fighter IMO.

As for Bellew, I don't see a way for him to win this. He will probably last a few rounds by keeping it at a distance behind the jab, but in the end does not have enough to keep Stevenson off him. I'm saying TKO7-8 for Stevenson,with Bellew being overwhelmed by power shots and broken down.

Stevenson will probably get more credit for beating Bellew than Kovalev will for Sillakh despite Ismayl being (IMO) a tougher opponent than Bellew.

Stevenson did an interview on Elie Seckbach saying he was never a pimp; he was a body guard.

His 'friend' who knew him said he is a good person and did none of that...

Then Stevenson mentioned he was a bodyguard and that was the past.

His friend tried to say he wasn't even involved. He said he was, but it's not like he is going to say he was a pimp now is he...

He could very well be a piece of sh_it but he's a worldclass boxer now. People want to see him fight and that's the only thing that matters. You can't take that away from him. It's not like the boxing commissions is going to ban him from boxing because of his past.

Bellew survives much longer than he should based on the fact he can't throw anything other than a 1-2 and prances around the ring. He doesn't have the power to hurt Stevenson tbh and he's wide open for big hail mary/hayemaker shots. He's going to stink the joint out until Stevenson one bombs him outta there.

Don't get me wrong, in no way am I saying Conteh and Bellew are on the same level but Bellew has the same hunger I saw in Conteh's eyes years ago.
