It's possible but not likely. Heavyweight champs have rarely been shorter than 6 feet even in the last 100 years.Tyson and Marciano were good heavyweights that were an inch or two shorter than 6 feet but they are the only ones I know of.Roy Jones is under 6 feet and he won a heavyweight belt although Lewis was the real heavyweight champ and it's unlikely Jones would have defeated Lewis.
will we ever see a heavyweight champ under 6ft

It's possible,but don't see it happening for a while,all the top heavyweight contenders/prospect are 6' 3" and up,only exceptions being mike perez at 6' 0" and denis boytsov at 6' 1".
chagaev is the last champion under 6' at 5' 11"Comment

It has always been rare for a heavyweight o be under 6 feet tall, let alone become champion. The likes of Marciano and later Tyson were so good because they good hit so damn hard. There punches must have felt like freight trains running through a man's face. Their supreme power made up for a lack of height. In Tyson's case, he also had exceptional speed, in his prime he was probably the fastest heavyweight outside of Ali.
If a fighter comes along with at least some of those attributes then sure, we may yet see a sub 6 foot champion.Comment
