I think if Ortiz wins, he calls out Floyd who will likely be in attendance and between dances with the stars and his alleged role in expendables, the controversial ending of their fight/Ortiz's grudge and floyd's ability to earn yet another title at Jr mid...Sounds like a great promo to me with enuf time to build.

Thurman would be a good fight and he's had fights at 152 in the past. But he's on the verge of landing a title shot at WW against either Devon or Broner so I can't see him moving back up.
All we hear though is Floyd fights come forward, flat footed fighters. Lara is a boxer who uses his legs and has good power. I would like to see Floyd fight him. Besides, there's nobody else for Floyd to fight.

all the things that you just said about floyd mayweather are the same reasons why he's the highest paid athlete,p4p king, and undefeated fighter of the last decade and continuing into this one.

GBP just found a way to put Molina in a good fight

The match up with Victor Ortiz is going to be entertaining I feel. Ofcourse Molina is coming off a snoozefest with Smith but when has Victor ever been in a boring fight? I think these 2 may very well have a pleasing mix of styles. I'm loving the close to the year. There is going to be a fight on either SHO or HBO every weekend until December 14th! Gonna have the popcorn ready!

thats a big if. Molina may not always have a crowd pleasing style, but he is no joke. Molina is highly skilled, often times uses spacing effectively and has a pretty good motor. I wouldn't have picked this guy coming off a long layoff if I was Ortiz. You can't ever count Victor out though. He is wildly inconsistent but when he is on he is difficult for anyone to deal with. i agree if victor wins he definitely has the platform to call for the rematch & with the shortage of acceptable opponents that want the fight at the current moment he could very well get it. I for one would rather not see the rematch & prefer a fresh match. I just don't think it should be handed to khan coming off of 2 tune up wins. A shot at the cash cow should be earned and if Victor beats a very difficult Molina then he will atleast have earned it. Beating Carlos is no easy feat.

that would be an excellent match up but I doubt Floyd would take such a risky fight. In an ideal world he would take the risk and step up to the challenge. I for one would definitely find this must see and many true boxing fans in general would too. Lara is a bigger guy and has the skills to compete and truly challenge Floyd right now. For that reason alone I see this PPV outdoing the Guerrero fight because that fight put many people off as a mismatch. Lets face it Floyd has attracted many casuals to tune into his fight regardless of the opponents. He could make Lara a viable opponent if he chose to do so.

If Zab beats Paulie I would like him to fight the winner of Maidana vs Broner. If Ortiz beats Molina I would like to see Ortiz vs the Ghost two south paws going at it.

We know if Ortiz wins you will throw him to Canelo and if Molina you want no part of him vs Canelo. So if wins you will put him with Lara. And that depends on their manager De Cubas. He didn't wanna do it before and he might not wanna do it still.

If Lara was to win vs Trout it would most likely be coming off of a "boring" fight so nobody would wanna watch Floyd vs Lara even more. If Lara gets an impressive KO victory which is possible, given his speed and Trout's shaky chin then a Mayweather fight is possible. But still a long shot.

They wanted to do ORTIZ vs CANELO so far but JOSESITO LOPEZ ruined GBP's plans;damn what a weak division!!! Army of fighters, army of bums;the best fights at 154 are VANES MARTYROSIAN vs DEMETRIUS ANDRADE(WBO) and every next fight of COTTO if doesn't go to fight mARTINEZ for the middleweight crown!!!
