    Has Manny opened the doors?

Watched Solo Boxeo saw this 18 year old kid, Bautista, show alot of grit. He should be pretty exciting, with potential. Saw another dude KTFO this dude recently during the WBC Americas champions with Arce as the main event. Viloria beat Ortiz and I guess there was that guy Jacca. Where has the filipeens been. Haven't seen filipeeno fighters since Penalosa, Espinosa, Navarette. Now since Pacquiao I have seen a number of good potential fighters. This should add another good dimension in boxing. I'm new and read some of the posts that have alot of hate. Boxing has been exciting again lately and Gatti and Morales was a good start. With Lacy vs. Calzage in the horizon and Barrera vs. Chavez and a whole lot of Potential matchups at welter, I think boxing is getting better again.

Yeah I would agree in a sense. For the simple fact the welterweight division is compelling because of how open it is at the moment. I'ts a virtual who's who of suspects in that division and dont forget the super-middleweights.

so yeah, I agree boxing is exciting again: but this time I see it from a soap opera perspective.

The Philippines have always been competative but have always been over looked by the ranking system or getting screwed by decisions abroad. I would say Pac man has definitely opened some doors for fighers that would have never gotten the chance.

Yeah, I guess now only the Mexican, black, and Puertorican fighters will get screwed with poor judging

Geography and money used to be a big problem fir Asian fighters to get some limelight in the West.

Some boxers in the Philippines who had potential to go far would make enough money and quit boxing right away. Owning a small piece of farm land there is almost guaranteed to keep them afloat forever.

With Pacman, Filipino fighters will now want some of the glory.

Bobby is a bum, Suico is a loser, Mayol will loose to Ivan Calderon, and Viloria is untested. Bautista has the most potential but is also untested.

He will not fight Calderon soon....in 2 or 3 years Calderon will lose to Mayol.
