Judah's biggest fights were losses. And one of his biggest wins was a split dec. Poor Judah. A poor mans Pernell Whitiker!

Without a doubt Julio Ceasar Chavez was the most gracious loser the sport has ever seen-he clearly won with class and lost with class.

Mickey Ward (since nobody has listed him): Not the most gifted fighter, but a lot of fun to watch fight. My 5 favorite fights of his:

Ward-Neary- Great slugfest with Ward implementing nice uppercuts and bodywork. Ward gets staggered at one point. Comes on and is too strong for Neary at the end and knocks him down with uppercuts, and it's stopped after the 2nd KD. Foreman, in one of his rare moments of commentating brilliance, notes early on that Ward is touching Neary with uppercuts with no power, but would put power to them later in the fight. Exactly what happened.

Ward-Veader- Nice battle the whole way. Fairly even until Mickey drops him with a left upstairs at the end of the 8th, then swarms him in Rd 9, being very wild, and after Veader gets a standing 8, then Ward finishes him with a signature left hook to the body.

Ward-Green- Great battle, even with the controversial ending. Ward was well-behind in the fight, with the smaller, slicker Green peppering him really good. Ward came on in the 10th and hammered Green with a desperation attack, mostly to the body, and then caught him with two hooks to the head that had Green very hurt. The controversy comes when the ref stops it with :20 left and Green falls back into the ropes, but never officially went down. He was hurt, but the ref picked a weird time to jump between them. Great comeback for Ward, though.

Ward-Sanchez- the infamous left hook out of nowhere showed up in this one. Sanchez was beating Ward from pillar to post, knocked him down, was dominating every round and all punchstats. Lamply, Roy and Merchant are all complaing how bad Ward is performing, and Merchant says the fight should be stopped over and over since Ward isn't being competitive. Ward lands a little hook to the body in the 7th that hurt Sanchez, although Roy was the only one to note it. Then he followed it up with another in the same spot and Sanchez never got up. One weird fight, with an ending that freaked everyone out. Was on the undercard of DLH-Whitaker.

Ward-Gatti 1- Nuff Said. The one was a clear draw, with clear rounds and scoring. But it's certainly Ward's most memorable performance.
