Schafer is just still really bitter that HBO gave him the boot. He acts like everything is all good but it hurts him inside.

Thanks for the correction. I haven't looked as far ahead as December to see what they scheduled.I disagree with the budget issue. If they did the dates in October, then would be going head to head with HBO on a weekly basis. They have cards on 10/26, 11/30, 12/7, 12/14. All of the cards are either triple or quardrupleheaders. HBO has 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23, 12/7. Other than 12/7, the networks are trying to avoid head to head competition.Comment

..or maybe the other way around. I bet Arum spits up his gefilte-fish when he reads this.Comment

Canelo drew 40,000 people to the Alamodome, just got a ton of exposure against Mayweather on PPV, and appeals to the all important Mexican fanbase.
So of course Cotto would make more money against him than against Sergio Martinez. It's a no brainer.
I wonder if it's true that they had to hire seat fillers for Bradley-Marquez?Comment

showtime never released numbers for mosley-pac...arum just said it did 1.4 or some sht, but I'm pretty sure pac-marquez 3 and 4 topped "that number" with a legit 1.3 or so. so unless schaefer actually knows the event really did do 1.4, which I guess he could find out...I'm just not sure it did those numbers. he's just talkin sht because it fits his agenda.Comment

schaefer sounds like a maniac here but he's not actually wrong. i think if we look at the cards, this year has been very good. the showtime cards have all been quality. or at the very least they tried to put fights in there that would produce a good show.Comment

Showtime has definitely stepped their game up. HBO's cards have been good too. We've been getting nice competitive matchups for the most part, not too many showcase fights that I can think of.Comment
