Ward has never been asked during the negotiation process , to throw it on him after the fight is signed is a pile of BS .

To say Ward refuses testing is spinning the wheels , wait until its a make or break part of a monster fight and then see if he refuses , I bet he doesnt !

      IT'S MIND GAMES.

The reason is because Rodriguez never mentioned it during the contract negotiations.

He announced it during the presser. His intention was to shame ward into doing his bidding.

Theres videos on youtube from the presser where ward mentions this.

I don't see ward being against it. Hes just against it because he`s not going to start dancing to Rodriguez's tune.

Well if it was after the negotiations then I'll just take it as mind games from Rodriguez. I imagine it can be quite distracting for a fighter to have to go through interviews for the entire build-up answering questions about testing...esp when it was never a topic of discussion in the contract. If he's just flat out refusing...then it's terrible management for someone like Ward. seems like he squanders the all american type image he could have. When guys like him refuse, i lose faith in humanity

Next time Rodriguez needs to put it in the contract. Asking for your opponent to do something that's not in the contract is unprofessional, which means he was probably playing mind games.

Very shady to say the least. I'd like to hear his excuse though.

This calls into question the legitimacy of Andre Ward's career.

It wouldn't surprise me if Ward was juicing.

It's unprofessional but if you're a clean fighter, then take the test and have him blackballed after the fight.
