Comments Thread For: Malignaggi Disputes Judah's Story of Sparring Sessions

Paulie Malignaggi (32-5, 7KOs) has denied Zab Judah's claim that the two of them sparred with each other in the past. Judah (42-8, 29KOs) claims Malignaggi has been hit with a sudden case of amnesia regarding the details of what happened during their past sparring. The two Brooklyn fighters will collide in a Showtime televised main event on December 7th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The bout is a very important crossroads match in the welterweight division. The loser would possibly see his career hit the end of the road.

Hmmm...maybe paulie doesnt want to admit and dilute the intensity of the fight - like Bute vs johnson - a Glorified sparring session.

I guess what's really going to matter after the fight is who won, not who sparred better one time.

Who cares? No one is interested about this fight outside of NY.

              Two gatekeepers of boxing.

I'm outside of NY and I'm interested in this fight. So much for that theory

I'm interested in this fight, it doesn't matter that i'm from New York. Fights don't interest me or disinterest me geographically. That sounds pretty ******. I think this is an honest fight, it's not going to be sold as some big fight, both fighters know what's at stake. The winner goes on to better things, the loser walks or gets sidelined for a while and just becomes an even bigger gatekeeper. I think it's just a classic American B fighter vs Italian-American B fighter fight. There's nothing more to it. We all know it won't be a barnburner or Gatti-Ward 4, there isn't going to be a 1st round KO. This fight will probably break the jabs thrown/landed record in a fight.

                    Nobody Cares

Look these are great guys, but they are on the downward slide. Don't start the BS because we don't much care whether you fight or not.
