the only reason mayweather and manny are able to make so much is because they are in house fights and the pie isn't being divided amongst all these different promoters and managers

the difference between manny and floyd is manny lies and says he doesnt fight for money he fights for honour when really he is as full of **** as mayweather, mayweather just rarely hides his hypocrisy
EVERY fighter even Ruslan fights for money, nobody will fight for free that is ******.

And Pacman is fighting for Honor of his country, thats why he fights so hard, every boxing trainer will tell you that, even the Watson guy said guys with a country on their back come to fight for pride and honor like Marquez and Hatton. But they also have to negotiate the best deal.

        I agree.

Funny you mention Hatton. Hatton is one that has been one of the less diva-like stars in recent memory. Manny was going to cancel the fight with a week to go unless Hatton would give up 2% of PPV revenue so Pac could have the bigger split lol!

        honour my arse!

Floyd has taken the ODH fight, the Canelo fight and He also took the manny fight-manny initially refused it. WHat he didn't do was go back and negotiate with Manny after he refused.

Manny was never going to make that much from this fight because of the deal structure he has with TR.

we can agree to criticize the offer-what you can't deny is other fighters have taken ****ty crap deals (with far less money than $40 mil) to get a the fight they want. Manny didn't do that. You can't just keep blaming floyd when manny makes a decision that deprives us of the fight.

They both need opposition with a good fanbase to make more than 1MM PPV buys.
You really believe it was Canelo being off the undercard rather than the lack of promotion?

The difference is when manny fights the big fights it doesn't sell more than 1.5 mil.

At the end of the day both manny and floyd made huge money not fighting each other.

Manny may fight for honor or country, but they both are far behind his primary reason- MONEY. He's a professional fighter, its his job. No one goes to work for honor and country-they go to feed their family.

Yup. But 50 million isn't exactly fighting for free lol

Say for instance the fight generates 250 million dollars

half would be going to showtime and HBO for distribution

that leaves 125 million left to divvy up to promoters, trainers, managers and the fighters themselves.

Mayweather just made around 50 million to fight Canelo alvarez and he didn't have to fill snakeoil Arum's pockets to do it either.

The manny fans only admit the following in the pinoy lounge or in PM's to each other-Manny's deal with TR is ****ty and he should've left Bob when he had the chance.

We can all speculate and come up with conspiracy theories why he hasn't left Bob yet. But if you look at what floyd and ODH began to earn when they left TR its safe to say manny has "lost" or "left" $30-50 mil on the table.

I'm not saying Pac didn't have his moments in the JMM 4 fight but IMO he looked just as wild as he usually does...I seen a few crisp punches thrown & I definitely seen the sloppy ish too...nothing about what he did against JMM was eyebrow raising to me...good scrap but not of the same view as his fanatics here.

JMM lands clean & drops Pac...lucky punch or Pac wasn't hurt.

Pac lands & makes JMM glove touch...oh JMM was so hurt, out on his feet blah blah blah!

Half goes to the CABLE COMPANIES for distribution. Promoters administer a PPV show.
