No dude.. Kevin Hart is a midget. There is a massive difference.

Key difference: . Dwarfism is a medical condition due to which a person has abnormal growth.Historically, the term midget was used to describe "proportionate dwarfs," while dwarfs could be any person affected by dwarfism, proportionate or disproportionate. Today, the term ‘midget’ is considered derogatory.

A midget is just someone really really short. A dwarf could be anyone of any size that suffers from Dwarfism traits.




Kevin Hart despite being short, does not display any Dwarfism like traits.

Gary Russell Jr does.


Short does not equal dwarf.

There are two main categories of dwarfism -- disproportionate and proportionate. Disproportionate dwarfism is characterized by an average-size torso and shorter arms and legs or a shortened trunk with longer limbs and a disproportionate neck to head ratio.


In proportionate dwarfism, the body parts are in proportion but shortened.

Studies reveal that just because one is over the height limit of dwarfism (4'10) does not indicate that the person is not a dwarf. Just like normal humans, dwarfs come in all shapes and sizes. Although it is rare to see a 'tall dwarf'.. they still exist. The tallest dwarf in existence was measured at over 5'6 yet he still displayed the tell tale signs of dwarfism.
