Donaire always complained being bored during fights (between rounds of course) till he ran into Rigo.

Really like Mikey, I like his patience too similar to Wlad in that sense, only more versatile and throws every punch in the book. While I do think he's the future I'd like to see him work on his infighting, his brother Robert was a better infighter and would have likely handled Salido better in close, hopefully Mikey works on that.

Guy came into a featherweight fight at 142 , it's like Donaire beating flyweights when his natural weight should be 126. 130 Is pretty weak but he really isn't doing anything till he fights at 135.

I genuinely dont see this as a good sign at all. He's not even at the peak of his career, and if he's bored already, before he even reaches his peak, he'll struggle to go that extra distance when the going gets tough.

It's not as if he's some kind of amazing defensive/offensive freak like Duran, or even like Floyd/Hopkins etc. The whole point of greatness lies in your disposition to be able to find the passion in small details and hone them through daily repetition day after day, year after year.

If he's bored, he needs to find something new to work on more and get better at it. I know he could work on his defense. It's the small things that make a great fighter.

Still, I do believe his team really need to start pushing his career and getting on track. He's been a pro for 6 years or something, is already 25ish and he's only now a brand new champion. That's terrible decision making. It's no wonder he's bored when his team only steps him up after 20 years of boxing and 6 as a pro, with 30 fights.

They need to be chasing only the big, challenging fights here on out because that will keep the boredom at bay and give him new things to get happening and keep his sharpness.

Very nice, it's funny no one ever puts pressure on Mikey but no one ever pressures Top Rank fighters to step up.

The only problem being that Rigo is a natural bantamweight fighting at 122 because that's where the fights are. 130 isn't a very good division right now and Garcia will never make anything below 130 again and will end up at 135 and 140 very soon. Salido is a big, solid featherweight and Garcia was monstrous next to him.

Rigo would have to jump up two divisions minimum just to get that fight made, because there is no chance in hell that Garcia is doing anything less than 130, and he won't even be there much longer.

He should stop draining himself to make weight and fight people his own size then

Salido had one good punch in 8 rounds, and it was an intentional headbutt.

Mikey a coward???????? Which is funny because Salido said no to the rematch, but Mikey's the coward, LoL.
Do I need to pull up the article of Salido saying he would rematch Mikey at 130? Keep up son. Mikey quit, simple as that.

Salido has been struggling to make 126 for a couple of years now and he still honored the weight. Mikey on the other hand cheated on the scales and quit on top of that.

That already happened. He ended up quitting from a booboo on his nose.
