    How good is JL Castillo???

When I c him fight it looks like he's just sparring or something, nothing really explosive but I think his hands weigh alot coz his apponents face is always f@#ked up. I never got to c his first fight against Mayweather I saw the second 1 and Mayweather played it smart and never took any chances won clearly, but I keep hearing he got robbed the first fight, is that how everyone saw it???

heres a better question: what does JLC do that makes him p4p material? it seems like pure sluggers arent very skilled these days, but how skilled is JLC and how does he show that skill?

JLC is very skilled, he lacks the on the minute smarts of the JCC that taught him, but the man is very skilled. He throws the half hook half uppercut beautifully, recently jcc told him for his rematch with corrales to lead with the right and follow up with the left and that worked miracles for him. Also, he is tough and makes his shots count. He saves his shots for the ones that hurt and he throws those with power. He goes up to the head and down to the body like a true pro His defense is Basic but relatively effective. He can cut off the ring, he works the inside well but is no slouch on the outside.

Anybody that can flaten Corrales like he did in their second fight is a great fighter (and I'm not hating on Chico people, he is a favorite of mine). **** JLC vs. Corrales 1&2 are permantly recorded on my DVR. Great chin, heavy hands and willing to go to war...what more can you ask for?

I know 4 sure he's not just a slugger like u say coz I saw him outbox little but bad stevie johnston on the rematch. Then after that fight I saw him knock down cesar bazan with one of the cleanest uppercut (from the outside) u will ever c. The only other fighter that i've seen land a clean uppercut from the outside is PBF. If u dont think it takes skill 2 do that dont post nothing else. He also has that quick short powerful left hook that he knocked out Julio Diaz with which was the same left hook that first knocked Corrales down in the 10th round.

A question like that should not even be asked. Mayweather didnt even look good in his wins over Castillo. The guy has beaten Stevie Johnston, Juan Lazcano, Joel Casamayor, Julio Diaz, Diego Corrales, and God knows what he'll do fighting at welterweight(hes still in his prime). Hes not a dumb slugger like Ward, Gatti and those other guys were they just swing and hope they land. Castillo is a great inside fighter with an amazing left hook and uppercut. Give the guy Credit when credit is due.

Yes Castillo got robbed, I dont know how the hell you could have given it to Floyd. Castillo was always landing lots of body punches and landing the heavier blows. Even the hbo team thought Castillo was robbed. Its also funny cause the judges had the second fight closer then the first. The first fight was a fight that I belive was all set up for Floyd to win since he was talked about as the next big thing. Floyd didnt even jump around and cry like he always does after he won, and he always tryed to change the subject when Larry was asking him if Castillo was any good to see if he would give him credit.
