    question about titlefights

so i was on boxrec looking at vasyl lomachenko's fight, it said WBO International featherweight title, but clearly it was salidos' bout that was for the title, i dont get it?? what does it mean there??
also, quick question, where does everyone get their updates or news on upcoming big fights etc? thanks !

    Salido was the world title,,

lomochenko was for a "minor" belt,

there are regional belts,, then continetal belts, then the world belts...

think of geography when dealing with belts,,,

You can be a state champion,, then a national champion, then a continental champion, and then finally a world champion

think of pro wrestling,,, salido just beat hulk hogan for the world belt,, lomochenko just beat chris jericho for the intercontintal belt...

i hope this clears it up for you

Aside from Boxingscene.com, Twitter is a good source for fight info - From the fighters themselves, trainers, managers, promoters, and the media.

honestly international and world mean the same thing, but in boxing world encompasses everything where international encompasses a region like all of europe, or south america, or asia
