Who cares if Allan Green got KO'd by Johnson after the Ward fight, that was not relevant to the background of the fight; might as well say Allan Green (dropped Kessler on his ass).

When you really get down to it the only truly meaningful names on Ward's resume are Froch (prime) and Kessler (prime); and they are very good wins. Froch's best two wins are his revenge of Kessler (dropped by a punch drunk bum in his last fight) and the win over Bute (KO'd by a bum).
Right.. But yours made total sense.

Dirrell ran like a girl from Froch and Pascal hasn't looked as strong as he did vs Froch since. Taylor came off a superb win and despite being stopped by Pavlik, had come off career best wins over Hopkins.

Kessler was down with a flash, came up and won with KO of the year rounds later. I could mention Ward being dropped by Boone, but who the hell cares? Bute won against Andrade, despite being dropped late in the fight.

Only a pathetic hater will break down a resume like that. Froch has won against more proven fighters, unbeaten fighters and has won despite being tipped to lose more time than Ward.

As long as Ward has Froch on his resume (which is always, duh)... Ward has a better resume

The only "advantage" I'd give Froch is Dirrell, but Froch didn't really beat Dirrell, did he? Naahh...

Dirrell got robbed. Period. Whether you like his style or not that's your problem, he hurt Froch several times and forced him to miss and reset his offense with his constant movement; I think Carl hardly landed a punch in the first 5-6 rounds. Taylor won two close fights against Hopkins at 160, but then he got brutally KO'd by Pavlik and was never the same. He also never belonged above 160 although perhaps to his credit (and although shot) he dropped Froch on his ass and was maybe 10 seconds away from winning a decision.

Kessler was badly hurt and dropped by a bum, stopping said bum (w/a reputed soft chin) afterwards is nothing to be proud off. And NO, that was not the KO of the year (JMM v. Pac IV), and it would be embarrassing for a knockout over a fringe contender to even be considered for knockout of the year. Kessler was also largely inactive and had been feasting on nothing but stiffs in the 3 years since his first Froch fight (Bouadla, Magee, Green).

A very green/raw Ward fought Boone in his 7th fight, Kessler fought Green in his fight just before Froch; you literally make no sense. Bute literally got a 20 count against Andrade, that should have been a KO.

ward has a lot of the same fighters except for bute, jermain taylor and jean pascal. but ward has chad dawson Miranda sakio bika(current wbc champion) and he beat carl froch.

I would say they are about even.

Froch a slightly better resume in terms of names.....

Ward better resume based on accomplishments, going thru the super6 with no losses and no close fights trumps everything on froch's resume

You can watch thee fight if you want... At 4:02 you can see him do the stanky leg after getting hit square in the jaw w/a right hand. Green follows up and Kessler does a 'double roll' on the canvas, get's back up looking groggy and can't even stand straight while being given the benefit of a pretty slow count. He ends the remainder round running and holding at least once. So yes, he got hit, clipped and hurt as he tumbled down. What about that is so hard to believe?

I've seen it many times thanks. He got straight up, smiled and landed a jab. He was buzzed, but he was most definitely not "badly hurt".

I forgot you're a Brit, no he was not badly hurt as in Amir Khan doing the 'Harlem Shake' hurt, but he was definitely hurt, that wasn't a flash knock down. A good finisher would have put him on the canvas one or two more times and maybe finished the job. Luckily for Kessler he was fighting Allan Green.
