Comments Thread For: Martin Murray To Face Garth Wood, Dec. 11 in Sydney

Martin Murray is either a glutton for punishment, or confident that the third time will be a charm.

The top-rated middleweight contender once again hits the road for his next fight, a showdown with Garth Wood on December 11 in Sydney, Australia.

"[M]y next fight is confirmed for December 11th in Sydney against Garth Wood," Murray announced overnight on his Twitter feed. "He's a tough opponent who'll be up for it so I'll be on my game." [Click Here To Read More]

I like a Murray/Triple G fight. What Murray lacks in punching power he has in skills. Very good subtle defense and counterpunching.

Martin needs to get rid of Ricky Hatton as his promotor! After fighting two world class opponents in there back yard Hatton should of secured a fight in the UK as a undercard fight either on the Froch/Groves bill or Fury/Haye fight. Flying to Australia to fight a bum isn't a good step forward. Only my opinion.

I understand the sentiment, Murray should be a better known name by now but those are two Sky fights. Hatton is signed up to BoxNation. Obviously it wouldn't be impossible, but I would imagine it makes things that much more difficult.

I understand the politics and they can destroy a boxers potential, Martin should of got Barker but money talks and he is going to Germany. Let's hope he can knock the Aussie bum out early, Barker can retire Sturm once and for all and for the sake of boxing we can get Barker/Murray at Stamford Bridge or Langtree Park in 2014. Please God!!!!

I know, Boxnation is a channel for the pugilists of the game it isn't going to make you a household name just boxing of that station. Hatton should of got Martin a 5 fight deal on Channel 5, it didn't do Fury any harm!!!

I knew Murrays criminal record would come up trumps sooner or later.

              Hooray Australia.
