Comments Thread For: Photos: Lomachenko and Salido Come Face To Face

WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido (40-12-2, 28KOs), and undefeated prospect Vasyl Lomachenko (1-0, 1KO) went face to face at Saturday's post-fight press conference at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Salido knocked out Orlando Cruz in seven rounds to capture the vacant WBO featherweight crown. Lomachenko made his pro debut and scored a fourth round knockout of veteran Jose Ramirez. Top Rank's Bob Arum wants to match Salido and Lomachenko on January 25th at the Theater in New York's Madison Square Garden. Lomachenko, a two-time Olympic gold medal winner, will attempt to win a world title in his second pro fight.

Salido is not as good as deserves this. He had the good luck to be the second after Gamboa and promoters wanted to protect JuanMa from Gamboa. Gamboa defeated Salido and that's why he was chosen to fight JuanMa and he was better, but the real champion in this division is Gamboa. This is one of the few sports who be second is better to be first due to manipulation of the promoters

Both fighters did a great job on Saturday night, Lomachenko definitely desserves credit for having the courage to want to take on Orlando Salido on his next fight and hopefully it will be a great one.

I just noticed the ''inb4' part, so think of my first post as a response to the sentiment that Loma is a bum rather than your post.
